Hello, my name is Athena. I know I’m adorable and I will tell you my wants and needs for my new home, but first let me tell you about my former life. I lived in a house with 13 other dogs. I started to hear the word hoarder and that some of us had to go to a shelter. I was one of the chosen to leave because I was pregnant and would only add to the problem. I gave birth in the shelter on Labor Day. I did a great job raising my pups but now it’s my turn to be happy and loved in a new home.

I’m comfortable around other dogs but prefer to not live with 13 of them again! With all the recent life changes, I’m a little reserved at first but given some time, you will see a wagging tail and a hopeful spirit. You will know I’m settled in when I join you on the couch and roll over for belly rubs. I’m a kind pup and very snuggly once I’m comfortable. My new home would allow me to sleep in bed, under the covers with them… I’m just 34 pounds so I won’t take up too much room! If you are ready to provide me with the safe loving home I deserve, I promise you a lifetime of cuddles, tail wags and a loving companion.
