Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Matt – small, cute, extremely active, intelligent, loves dogs of all sizes, ambivalent about new people . Although interested in, but a bit wary of strangers, Matt will allow petting & handling.
Matt is a 4 y.o., 12 lb. very energetic & intelligent Jack Russell Terrier. Matt is looking for a family with JRT breed experience who has a small dog secure fenced yard (no electric fences). Older children would be best as Matt is easily startled by quick, sudden movements & is a candidate to bolt through an open exit door.
Terriers were bred as hunters. Like most Terriers, Matt needs a job, an activity, or he may show unwanted behaviors. Intelligent, energetic & athletic, Matt would likely love agility training. With the prey instinct typical of a Terrier, Matt & cats probably shouldn’t mix.
Matt is crate trained & doing well on his house training.
Matt is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, monthly preventatives and microchipped.
Matt’s adoption fee is $450.
You must submit an adoption application before a meeting can be scheduled. The application serves as a basis for a conversation. So if you are interested in adopting Matt, then go to our website, heathersfosterdogs.org, to complete & an electronic application. Use the menu at the top of the page & click on “Adoption Application.” Submit your completed application & you will be contacted.
