My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Louis is a sweet purebred 9-year-old Bichon who was brought by the owner to her vet and was told he had a large bladder stone that needed to be removed. His owner told the vet to euthanize him!!! The veterinarian refused to put him down and an employee reached out to us. Louis has had the stone removed, as well as every tooth in his mouth due to dental neglect. He is on a special canned food diet for now, and once his urinalysis test is in range he will be able to eat a regular high quality wet food.

Louis is an affectionate congenial guy and loves everyone he meets. He's a typical happy social Bichon. He gets along well with other dogs. He enjoys going on walks and gets excited when it’s that time of day. He currently weighs 12.5 lbs which is on the heavier side but his foster family has him on a strict regimen of diet and exercise. This gentle soul just loves hanging out with his foster mom or dad. Louis is a good listener and runs to the bedroom at the end of the day when he is told “Louis, time for bed.”

Louis rides well in the car. His favorite pastime is sleeping on his back and getting belly rubs. Louis will make a wonderful addition to his new forever home.
