Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hope
Female
Australian Shepherd X
1 yr old.
Hope is a very special girl that is lucky to be alive. Hope and another dog were seen running in the woods for at least 3 weeks. There are so many dangers that could have taken their lives - coyotes, other dogs, starvation, being hit by a car on a nearby road. Luckily a good Samaritan reached out to us and we immediately went to work at catching these 2 sweet souls. We used a special trap so that we could catch both at the same time. Before setting out the trap, we had a camera set up to observe their comings and goings. We set out food and water which they happily consumed. In one of the pictures, you can see them in the woods. In another picture, you can see them in the large wire enclosure/trap, minutes after being caught.
After catching them, and bringing them to a safe, secure and comfy place, their personalities and happy souls became apparent. We were happy to find that they were not as skittish as we were afraid they would be.
Hope in particular is the friendliest, least skittish of the 2. She is a very happy, joyful youngster. She is about a year old and has a lot of puppy still in her. She loves her toys. She loves to play. She is mischievous and steals blankets from the other dogs.
Hope would make a great "frisbee dog" - she can jump straight up into the air and is very athletic.
Hope has been easy to train. She took to a harness easily and walks well on leash. She sleeps quietly in her crate at night and is potty trained. She also knows how to use a doggie door.
She gives and accepts love easily.
Hope is also the perfect size, at about 30 pounds. She is small and compact and easy to lift into the car, if needed.
Did we mention that she is beautiful?! We are having her DNA tested to see what mix of breeds have made her so pretty.
Please reach out to us if you would like to meet this special girl. You will fall in love immediately.
