RAGS is an almost year old adorable affectionate Shorkie, weighing 13lbs. He is searching for a loving consistent home and we are determined to find him his perfect match. He is a fabulous dog and needs a fabulous family! Rags is a social butterfly who thrives on human connection and LOVES being in the company of people. His foster family says he loves everyone he meets and everyone who meets him falls in love! While Rags is a good boy when left on his own, he would not enjoy being left alone all day. But he’s also a great dog to take to the office! He’s most happy when he has company.
Rag’s eyes light up at the sight of toys, and he's always up for a game of fetch or tug and then will happily cuddle on the couch. While Rags is a very good boy and enjoys his cuddle time, he still a young dog and needs stimulation and lots of playtime and exercise.
Rags loves other dogs, especially small ones and is very social. However, he loves them a bit too much and does have a quirky side – and will lick other dogs - especially ones bigger than him. If he has a pet friend in the home, it has to be one who won’t be put off by this behaviour.
Grooming and regular brushing will keep his coat looking fabulous and is a must to prevent mats. He is low shedding but not hypoallergenic and his previous family found his hair exacerbated allergies.
Rags is smart boy who seeks approval from his loved ones so a patient family committed to continued training will help him become the best doggy companion he can be. He is housetrained but like many boy dogs at first, he may “mark” your house but he quickly learns the bathroom routine.
This good-natured, affectionate pup is ready to bring endless joy to his forever home!
