My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mink, a 6-month-old Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd mix! Mink’s striking looks and personality to match, Mink is sure to capture the heart of anyone lucky enough to adopt her.

Mink has boundless enthusiasm and a playful nature making her an ideal companion for anyone seeking an energetic, loyal, and loving furry friend. Whether she is chasing after a ball or showering you with affectionate puppy kisses, Mink is always ready to spread happiness.

Despite her young age, Mink has already shown intelligence and a willingness to learn. She gets along great with her foster siblings and after a slow introduction is also good with her foster kitty sibling.

Mink knows how to sit and is learning to walk on a leash with a harness. She does tend to pull and will need consistent training. Mink does have a shy, reserved side to her, and she does take a while to warm up. She is a total sweetheart though!

Mink is not distracted by dogs or people while on walks but has shown an interest in chasing squirrels. Mink also has experience with dog friendly horses. Mink is also good with children! Her half Australian Shepherd, half German Shepherd heritage promises a winning combination of loyalty, obedience, intelligence, and agility.

Mink will excel in just about anything from sports to therapy! She is a gorgeous girl who will be an estimated 60-75 lbs. full grown. Mink is up to date on her vaccines and preventatives but will need to be spayed.

Herding/working dog experience is a plus for Mink’s adopter. This intelligent combination of breeds requires continued training and consistent stimulation of mind and body to reach their full potential. Mink is not an apartment or condo dog, and a fenced yard is not required, but is preferred.

If Mink sounds perfect for you, please fill out our application:

There is an additional $50 spay deposit that will be refunded upon proof of spay. And a $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to her new furever family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.
