Well, hello there! Bowie Butt Sniffer the III here to congratulate you on your very fine decision to search out such a fine young chap as myself. Well, friends, I must say I’m having loads of fun running and playing with all the other doggies here, but let me be honest, I want out! Sure, this shelter business is a real blast, but see, a kid like me is more of a family man. I believe a loveless life is no life at all...In other words I have a big heart and no one to share it with…I’m a sweet fella and a real loyal fella but I can be quite uneasy at first and like to take my time trusting new folks. But have no doubt, I am a happy boy who is loving, devoted and eager to please once I feel comfortable in my surroundings.I am really BFF material. Plus I’m a handsome little bugger, already crate trained and housebroken. Good with other dogs, dog-savvy cats and respectful kids 12+. So why not give your new BFF Bowie here a chance?

My adoption fee is $200 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

New Life Asher House is the adoption focused rescue & sanctuary location of the Asher House organization, a sister property located on the western edge of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Situated on 140 acres with fields to run in, a creek to splash in and plenty of friends to play with. It is a true wonderland for dogs!

Founded in November 2023, New Life Asher House is the 2nd Sanctuary location of The Asher House organization, born of the collaboration with Family Dogs New Life Shelter; who’d been an established part of Portland’s rescue community for 20 years before joining The Asher House. We knew that together our two organizations would bring a unique and inspiring approach to animal rescue.

Our mission is to provide a safe, peaceful, enriching environment for the animals in our care until their adoptive families can be found. Allowing them a place to be loved and protected for as long as needed.

Our Adoption Center located in Portland Oregon gives families the opportunity meet our sanctuaries’ adoptable dogs, complete all adoption paperwork and take their new pup home.

We work hard to provide the best of care for the animals at our rescue & sanctuaries; a large animal care team, 24-hour on-site care givers, an onsite Asher House Veterinary Clinic is currently in the works and there is no shortage of canine cuddlers.

Our primary mission here at New Life Asher House is to rescue dogs in need, but we also provide sanctuary to farmed animals including cows, pigs, goats, chickens, ducks, and horses of all sizes. If you have fur or feathers, we’ll fall in love.
