Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Maxwell!! Max is a handsome and easy going 6-year-old Havanese MIX who found himself in a local shelter after his owner sadly passed away. He is a bit more to love at 28lbs as he is a little overweight. He is currently on a weight loss journey but aren't we all? lol Maxwell goes for 5 to 6 decent length walks daily and is on a diet of green beans, pumpkin, and Natural Balance-salmon kibble. Grooming and upkeep will need to be maintained but Maxwell loves to be brushed and pampered so he has no complaints! We spoke to our groomer who said Max will need to be groomed every 4-6 weeks for haircuts and full grooms. This will cost approximately $60-$70 each visit to maintain his coat so something to be aware of. ($700 plus a year) He is dog friendly, and we were told he lived with a cat in his previous home by the shelter. He has not been around children. He can be a bit cautious with new people but warms up in a jiffy! Maxwell knows basic commands and is a smart, delightful, and affectionate boy. He rarely vocalizes but will bark at noises then go back to easy living. He is housebroken, crate trained (he likes his safe space), loves walks on the leash, and car rides. Maxwell has moderate energy and is totally happy with walks so there is no need for a fenced in yard. Max is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, dewormed, heartworm negative, and chipped. He received a 6-month proheart heartworm preventative injection and is current on flea and tick prevention plus had a full exam at our veterinarian. Teeth look good as well. :) Maxwell is located in the Myrtle Beach area. Home visit, references, restrictions, and adoption donation of $300.00 required. He comes with new leash and collar, folder with all vet paperwork, a small bag of the kibble he is eating to mix with new food in new home, and any personal items.
