Here's what the humans have to say about me:
***Experienced & Husky knowledgeable adopters preferred.***
Meet adoptable BIG BOY! A 5 year old, good natured, full breed Husky we named “Big Boy” was tied to a post in Queens. The local Police Precinct took him in and called the AAVC and we took this gentle giant. He was so traumatized that it took him a month to get into a new routine. Some idiot probably bought this beauty as a puppy because he was so “cute,” and after a few years, lost his or her interest in having a best friend in life any longer. We did all the medicals on Big Boy and he got along with our dogs and cats, so now he can move on to his very own forever family.
Like all animals adopted from the ANIMAL ADOPTION VETERINARY CENTER,
Big Boy comes with ONE YEAR TOTALLY FREE VETERINARY CARE for any
illness, if one occurs in the first year, and FREE LIFETIME ANNUAL EXAMS at the LOW COST VET MOBILE!
Call (718) 544-PETS (7387) to set up a Meet 'N Greet with Big Boy!

More about this rescue
Companion Animal Network was founded by Garo Alexanian in 1989 out of a love for animals and out of frustration at the high euthansia rate of animals in the New York Metropolitan area. Since then Garo and Companion Animal Network have taken an active part in the animal rescue community by raising awareness both publically and politically and has rescued/adopted over 2000 animals.
In association with the Animal Care and Control of NYC and the Mayor's Alliance, Companion Animal Network created the "Safety Net" Program which assists pet owners with low-cost vet care, boarding, legal assistance and other solutions in helping owners keep their pets when faced with hardship situations.
