My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shaydo is a curious, active dog who enjoys exploring—whether it’s a walk in the park, a splash in the creek, or discovering new places. He recently completed basic obedience training and thrives on enrichment activities that engage his mind.
Well-socialized and comfortable around other dogs, he would adapt easily to a variety of home environments. He travels well in the car and has enjoyed outings to parks, making him a great fit for an on-the-go lifestyle. He balances his energy with calm companionship—just as happy playing in the yard as he is relaxing beside you on the couch. Shaydo’s ready to be your loyal, loving sidekick and bring joy to every day.

More about this shelter

CCA was founded in 1980 by a small group of individuals dedicated to helping animals. Since then, our group has grown to include a small shelter. Our group's mission is varied: to maintain a shelter for abandoned, sick or injured animals; to adopt out dogs and cats to loving permanent homes; to provide for their animals low-cost spay/neuter assistance to families who lack the means to pay; and to strive to prevent and to stop abuse and/or neglect of an animal.

We are always in need of volunteers! If you are interested in becoming a part of our group, please let us know by calling 864.243.4222. We'd be glad to have you on board!
