My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Odessa! She's a very sweet and gentle girl who would love to find her forever home. She can be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly (especially if you have a treat for her.) Odessa was found living in a field with her siblings, but quickly adapted to the comforts of living in a house. She is a happy girl who loves playing with her foster brother, being outside, and snuggling on the couch. She is an easy dog to handle,is quiet and not hyperactive. She is house trained and knows how to use a dog door to let herself outside. Her foster mom says she could be trusted to be left home without causing trouble. She loves other dogs and needs to have another dog to be her friend. Odessa would love to be your forever friend.

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
