Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Louie has quickly become part of the family at his foster parents home. He has made friends with the grumpy old lady cock-a-poo and has been the first one to ever get her to play and the two of them have long tug-of-war, chase, and wrestling matches. Louie would be happiest with a friend his size or slightly larger that he could play and explore with. Louie is still a puppy and investigating the world with his mouth and is continually bringing in new things he has found in the back yard like sticks and pinecones and even leaves. Louie needs to be watched when youre home and crated when you leave because if there is something to find he will find it and put it in his mouth. Louie really needs a backyard to play and run in. He loves to spend time exploring! Louie has exceptional hearing and is very reactive to sounds outside and even on the TV. It will take patience because he feels a strong need to warn everyone that there is something out there. For this reason, Louie would not be an ideal dog for anyone in an apartment or condo. From the beginning Louie has had a strong desire for security and affection. He sleeps in the bed with his parents and loves to snuggle. Louie is not a yorkie but is a wire-haired terrier with a beautiful orange/red coat and white blaze. Louies needs regular grooming and brushing because he does shed. Louie is in good health and is a puppy who should see a long life. Adopters should keep this in mind and be willing to provide for Louie for the next 15 to 17 years.
