We are so sad to lose him, but need to find a new home for our 10-month-old Pyrenees mix, Willett. He is a wonderful, calm, cuddly giant who we think would do well in a home *without kids* and where he is the only pet, and the owner can commit to clear boundary-setting and training for him.
Details:
- Currently living in NW Hills, in Austin
- Male Great Pyrenees mix
- 10-months-old
- Was surrendered to Austin Animal Shelter in September, adopted by us 10 days ago
- Not neutered
- Up-to-date on all shots but will need LEPTO and rattlesnake vaccine booster
- Recently got monthly dose of Heartgard/Nexgard
- Not particularly treat or food motivated, but is a resource guarder
While Willett has no history of aggression, he exhibited some early signs of resource guarding with our toddler (a quiet growl on two occasions). After speaking with four different trainers, we unfortunately came to the conclusion that he will not do well in our household with small children (2-year-old a
