Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Thank you for visiting Nola! By choosing to adopt a dog through C.A.R.E.S., you are not only giving a wonderful dog a forever home, but you are allowing us to rescue another dog on death row. You are also choosing to support a true no-kill rescue organization. Thank you!.
Look at that face! Too cute! Nola is a Hurricane Katrina survivor, probably born right after the disaster. She’s no worse for the wear, she’s still a very happy puppy, about 5-6 months old. She is a very interesting mix of things, definitely Shepherd with those ears. She has no tail, so we don’t know what that means. But she also has some coarse hairs on her face and legs, implying some type of terrier, too. She’s just a Heinz 57 and absolutely adorable! She is thin and growing, we have no idea how big she will be when she is grown.
Nola is a very good puppy who just wants to play and be loved. She is just so much fun to watch. She loves other dogs, very submissive to them. She is crate trained and we are working on her house training. She is a very smart girl, very eager to please. She hasn’t started her basic training, and is so smart! She knows SIT well, does good with COME and goes DOWN easily with help.
Who wants to be the special person to give this little survivor a forever, safe home?
This dog's adoption fee is $300 (plus tax). This includes being spayed/neutered, current on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations, wormed, microchipped with the HomeAgain microchip, heartworm tested (negative) and medicated during the heartworm season (May-Dec) while in our care, comes with a Gentle Leader headcollar (if we feel it is needed), and is currently learning Basic Obedience commands and good doggie manners.
The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an application. If you'd like to have an application emailed to you, just email us. Thank you!
