My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there, gentle souls! I'm Aslana, a furry enchantress with a coat as soft as moonlight and eyes that hold the secrets of a thousand starry nights. Life has been an interesting journey for me, and I'm seeking someone special who understands the art of patience and the beauty of slow-blooming connections. I've had my share of experiences, and while I might seem reserved, there's a universe of warmth within me waiting to unfold. Found comfort on the streets, and now I'm on a quest for a compassionate adopter who can appreciate the delicate dance of building trust with a shy feline like me. They say patience is a virtue, and in my case, it's the key to unlocking the true magic that lies within. I'm a bit shy, especially around humans, but give me the time I need, and you'll discover a gentle spirit who just wants to be understood. I've always found solace in the company of fellow felines, so if you have other cats, I'm sure we'll get along just fine. I'm yearning for a quiet and understanding home where I can feel safe to explore and gradually open my heart. If you're the kind of person who appreciates the beauty of slow moments and the joy of earning a cat's trust, we might be the purr-fect match. A cozy corner, some soft blankets, and a bit of patience - that's all I need to feel at home. Remember, I might take some time to be comfortable around humans, but with your patience and understanding, we can create a bond that's as enduring as the stars in the night sky.

Go meet their pets

Due to COVID-19, we are not currently holding in-person adoption events. Most of our cats are in foster homes and we are doing virtual meet-and-greets with them.

We also have adoptable cats at our two partner cat cafes – CatCafe Lounge (https://www.catcafelounge.com/) in West Los Angeles and Cat Therapy (https://www.cattherapysb.com/) in Santa Barbara. You can make a reservation on their websites, or we can arrange a meeting by appointment once you have filled-out our application and spoken to our team.

More about this rescue

Stray Cat Alliance is a non-profit organization focused on educating and empowering communities to advocate for every cat’s right to be safe, healthy, and valued. Everyday, our team works to save the helpless lives of kittens and cats by providing: spay/neuter, trap-neuter-return (TNR), adoptions, wellness care, medical care, and community shelter support. Our goals are to:

-Eradicate cruelty toward cats through advocacy, rescue, and education.
-Find loving forever homes for cats and kittens taken in through all of our programs.
-Help shelters transform from executioners to safe havens for cats by implementing SCA’s life-saving policies and procedures.
-Educate the community about the plight of free‐roaming cats and empower people to take action to stop population growth through spay and neuter.
-Create and sustain a No-Kill Nation by mentoring other communities to become no-kill through our grassroots programs.

Stray Cat Alliance envisions a time when all cats are valued and safe whether in homes or communities, and when shelters serve as temporary safe havens.
