MEET Picasso !!

This little love bug was found in a ditch in Eloy. He was dehydrated and so very hungry, but happily wagging his tail as soon as a rescuer approached and boosted him and his brother out of the ditch and happily hopped into their rescuer's car.

He is hilarious, loves to romp around and wrestle his brother. Once he is all tuckered out, he snuggles up with his brother for a snooze. This boy is sweet as honey, loves affection and wants so much love.

Please understand he has all the typical puppy energy and behaviors. He has some basic training and is house trained and doggy door trained, but will need a dedicated person to patiently teach him the ropes. If kept occupied, he is not destructive and chooses toys over things to chew on.

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters will be required to complete our Adoption Application, read and sign our Adopting Policies and Procedures, and participate in a home visit by one of our adoption representatives. Our Adoption Application is located on our website: www.underdogaz.com.

We also have a mandatory two-week Foster With Intent to Adopt trial period for all animals in order to be certain the pet is a good fit for your family.

Our standard adoption fee for dogs is $200; puppies are $250.

Non-standard fees do sometimes apply. Puppies younger than six months may have a higher fee. Designer dogs, purebreds, and other toy type breeds may also have higher adoption fees than the standard $200.

We do, however, have discounted fees for dogs that are seniors, a pair of dogs adopted together, or cats. If you are a veteran or an active duty service member, please ask about our partnership with Pets For Patriots.

All Underdog pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped prior to adoption.

We are a 501c3 non profit, your donations save lives and are 100% tax deductible.

Underdog Rescue of Az is an all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescuing and re-homing of abandoned and/or abused dogs.

We are a foster-based rescue, and do not maintain a physical base of operations. All of our animals are placed with loving, caring safe foster families until they are adopted. We are also an "All Breed" rescue, and do not discriminate based on breed, age, size, etc.

Underdog's mission also includes educating the public on the issue of animal welfare. We strive to promote shelter reform, spay and neuter education and emergency rescue information & assistance.
