**Meet Chelsea - The High-Energy German Shepherd Mix!** Breed: German Shepherd Mix
Age: 1 year, 3 months (born August 2023)
Weight: 60 lbs
Spayed: Yes
Vaccination Status: Up to date with vaccinations
Foster Home: With siblings Cash, Carter, and mom Callie
**Disposition**
Timid but friendly
**Personality**
Chelsea is a sweet dog with a high-energy spirit! Though she can be a bit timid at first, once she warms up, she's ready to explore the world with enthusiasm. She loves to play with her brothers, Cash and Carter, and is always up for a new adventure. Chelsea is both crate trained and potty trained, making her a fantastic addition to an active family.
**Training**
Chelsea is leash trained but, being a young pup, she still has a tendency to pull during walks because of her excitement. She is very smart and eager to learn, but she still needs some training to refine her skills. She knows how to sit, especially if there's a tasty treat involved! With the right guidance and positive reinforcement, she will continue to develop her training and manners.
**Playtime**
Chelsea thrives in a playful and active environment. She absolutely loves playing fetch and will happily chase after balls or toys, bringing them back for another round of fun! Whether it's running around the yard, playing fetch, or going for long walks, she's always ready for excitement. After a day of play, she also enjoys quiet cuddle sessions to recharge.
**Socialization**
Given her high energy, Chelsea would benefit from being adopted by an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. She would love to have a confident older dog as a companion to help her build confidence. Her compatibility with cats and children is still uncertain, so a gradual introduction would be necessary for a harmonious living situation.
**Mom's Background**
Chelsea's mom, Callie, was rescued in early July 2023, and Chelsea was born in the rescue shortly after. The bond between them is strong, and Chelsea carries the loving spirit of her mother.
**Adoption Info**
If you're looking for a high-energy, loving dog who will bring joy and excitement to your home, Chelsea is the perfect match! With her friendly personality, love for fetch, and her crate and potty training, she's ready to thrive in an active environment. Don't miss the chance to welcome this energetic girl into your family!
