My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile: Pebbles is an approximately 2-year-old, 65 lb female bully breed mix -- we think Cane Corso and/or Boxer.  She has a docked or bob tail and has recovered from cherry eye surgery.  She was friendly with people and dogs during her shelter evaluation.

Foster Update: I'm pretty sure Pebbles is a Bully/Boxer mix as she definitely has the personality to match!  She is very playful and energetic, loves toys and romping around like a goofball so her ideal home would include a yard. She does very well in her crate when it's time to quiet down, is quiet all night and does well for up to 7 hours while I am away. She is a bit shy and unsure with new people but once she is given some time to build trust she is very affectionate and loves to get pets and scratches. We have been spending the most time currently on leash training. She is food motivated, so smart and learns very quickly.

Training Update: Pebbles is thriving with formal training -- she has learned loose leash walking, place, recall basics, and not jumping up. She is working on her confidence with new people and in public. She is shy but tolerant with new people, and tolerant of dogs and cats. She would be well matched with a more quiet household and patient owners who are willing to work on building trust but won't coddle her entirely.

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.

Includes Take Home Training Session

Animal History: This dog came into the San Bernardino animal shelter as a stray and was listed for euthanasia due to space and cherry eye.  She arrives in Seattle on 11/12 and will will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.
