Meet Coconut!

Coconut is a delightful young dog who has overcome a challenging beginning when she was abandoned by those meant to care for her. Now thriving in a nurturing foster home with ASR, she has blossomed into a friendly and energetic companion at around 2 years old. Weighing around 40 lbs, Coconut is playful and has mastered several commands, being both crate and house trained for peaceful nights. While she enjoys the company of other dogs, she requires a proper introduction to understand their play styles. Coconut tends to have a strong personality, so she would thrive best with dogs that have a gentler demeanor as her companions. In her foster environment, she particularly flourishes with dogs of similar size and age. Although she can be a bit protective and may bark at strangers, she is affectionate with people, relishing cuddle time on the couch or bed. A yard would be perfect for her to expend her energy, and she has a special love for water, especially when the hose is on. To truly thrive, Coconut would benefit from an owner who understands her breed and can match her lively spirit, making her an ideal companion for families with older children who can appreciate her vibrant personality.

If your adoption application is selected as the best fit to continue in the adoption process, a volunteer will contact you.

3. Home check
After reviewing your application and phone interview, we will conduct a home check.

4. Meet the pet
The ASR volunteer will help coordinate a play date between you and the foster so you can meet the pet.

We are a 100% volunteer based rescue and due to the large number of adoption applications we receive, we are unable to respond to each individual applicant. If your application is selected to continue in the adoption process, a volunteer will contact you via the phone number provided on your adoption application.
Amazing Strays Rescue knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by but most importantly, through the actions of our initiatives. Back in 2018, realized that by working with Shelters we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch Amazing Strays Rescue.
