Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
HISTORY: Emerson is a young German Shepherd puppy that is 8 months to a year old when he was brought into rescue in March 2023. He was rescued from a situation where he was tied up all the time and not feed properly.
FOSTER UPDATE: Emerson is kinda hard to take photos of because he wants to immediately come up and kiss you when you crouch down to snap a pic :)
He is easy to love and his personality is blossoming. He's come a long way from being extremely skinny, scared, and impulse-driven, to confident, silly, and loving. He always wants to give kisses and is especially sweet in the mornings. He walks great on a leash, well-mannered with other dogs outside, rides in the car well, potty-trained, isn't destructive, and surprisingly calm. He is a gentle giant and politely takes treats from your hand. He's still learning his size and does accidentally knock things or jump up if he's excited. He responds well to training and has learned "sit" and is progressing well on "stay" during meal time. The only time I've heard him bark is when he caught his own reflection on the TV. I've taken him into the office with me and he welcomes all visitors! Emerson will make a great companion to a family who enjoys the outdoors and will continue teaching him that humans are safe.
Ask to meet him if you are interested in this wonderful dog.
