My basic info
Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lia and Lani are orphan sisters from a feral colony in Rock Hill. They came to me on November 14, 2023, referred by the Lancaster SPCA. They had their three week teeth, so we are calling their birthday October 20. They will be old enough to go to their adopting home around the middle of December.
At intake, both kittens were covered with fleas, undernourished, and dehydrated. We immediately got a few calories in them and some fluids and then gave them very thorough baths. It’s easy even for adult ferals to become anemic from flea bites, and these girls were so infested, it’s hard to imagine how much they were suffering. We’re glad we got them when we did.
Over the next few days, once Lia and Lani realized they were warm, fed, and clean, they lost that feral edginess and became very affectionate. Both are great bottle feeders, are using a litter box, love lap time, and will roll over on their backs for belly rubs. They certainly love to play and wrestle together.
The girls are, of course, very bonded, so we will only accept applications to adopt them together. Two kittens will keep each other company when you are at work or away, and they also burn off a lot of energy you don’t have to deal with. The adoption fee is $150 for one kitten and $225 for two. The fee covers all medical and fostering expenses to this point, FIV/FeLV testing, deworming, vaccinations, and spay/neuter with a partner vet.
