Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I am Maeve, the great warrior queen and embodiment of sovereignty. I have always been a warrior because my past demanded it in order for me to survive as it was not a good life. But like the queen I am, I am fiercely loving and loyal. I have learned to enjoy other dog friends and want to romp and play boldly with others in this new part of my life. I am large and in charge so smaller subjects may need supervision as sometimes I forget how big I am.
While I am quite a sight to behold in size, I will bow down immediately for belly rubs and pets which are probably the best thing I have discovered. I have a gentle side and I do wonderfully with children. Just make sure I am in my special collar and I will follow your lead with ease on a leash.
I know many things that my foster mother has taught me: Leash pressure, No, Leave It, Heel, Sit, Down, Waiting to go out a door as well as for her to close it behind us. My foster mother will work with my next family for free to take my training all the way to an off-leash life if they so choose. She was evaluating me to be a potential service dog for someone, but alas since I did not get to experience what it was like to be a puppy in the proper years, I can be a bit too rowdy and powerfully playful that doesn’t suit the job. Nonetheless, like a lady, I -always- go outside and never once in my kennel. I am not a picky eater, and will eat anything you serve me. I do love a good bone to gnaw. My illustrious coat only needs a grooming rake, and some Furminator soaps once every couple of months as I have a soft double coat that does shed quite a bit, but this is from my breed make-up as my foster mother had me tested: I am 57% German Shepherd, 17.9% American Pit Bull Terrier, 13.5% Labrador Retriever, and 11.6% Chow Chow. All worthy breeds that make up all 85lbs of my beauty. I do have a unique feature as befits royalty; I have double dew claws on my back feet.
If you are looking for a loyal companion, someone ready for a challenge of a good romp in the park, or a quiet evening in, I would be honored to be your queen. For more information about me or to find out how you can meet me, please contact my foster mom, Mickayla, at (623) 523-3054 or email her at mickaylafee@gmail.com.
