Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Grover and his sister Deena came to us from a local Animal Control Officer. We were told both dogs are eight months old. Grover was kept in a crate for most of his life, so he is a bit on the shy side. He is very sweet and food-motivated but needs to get used to walking on a leash. The pups are slowly picking up that they should use the bathroom outdoors. Because he is shy, we feel that an adult-only home would be the best fit for him. Grover seems to like other dogs, so it may be beneficial for him to have another confident dog at home to learn from. He will see our vet on 11/17 and be ready to go to a new home on 11/19.
If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out our dog adoption application here: http://medfieldshelter.com/adopt. Our dog adoption fee is $350. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash.
With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both.
All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have two employees. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.
