My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nya is a smart, energetic girl who would love to be your hiking buddy! She connects deeply with select people and is eager to be someone's loyal companion on all of life's adventures. While she can be dog-social with the right match, she'd also be perfectly happy being your one and only. If you're an experienced dog lover looking for a bright, active, and devoted friend to share your home and outdoor explorations, Nya is ready to join you!

More about this rescue

Paws For Life K9 Rescue pulls its dogs from city and county shelters. Often, we choose dogs in need of socialization and training which we place with our incarcerated trainers throughout California State Prisons.
We do this because they can dedicate all of their time to their rehabilitation. After several months of training, our dogs are ready for family life after completing their AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification. Some are trained to become service animals for military veterans with PTSD. By lowering euthanasia rates and preparing dogs for service-jobs, PFL is proving that everyone deserves a second chance.
