Buddy is a 3½-year-old Dalmatian/Lab mix with love and loyalty just waiting to be shared. He is partially deaf, which makes him uniquely special and in need of a patient adopter willing to learn and use special communication with him. With the right person, Buddy can thrive and build an incredible bond.
Buddy gets along with some dogs, but not all, and would do best as the only dog in the home. We have an adoption contract and adoption fees. The fee for a dog is $125.00 and a cat is $75.00. The fee includes mandatory spay or neuter, vaccinations and microchipping.

Our shelter is located at 49 Shelter Lane in Heber Springs, Arkansas. We are open Monday through Saturday from 12:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

Our orginzation was founded by Doug Bakko. Funds were raised to build the original shelter on land donated. The shelter has since been expanded using donations and fund raisers. We are the only Shelter in Cleburne County. Our operating funds come from our Thrift Shop, donations, fund raisers and some assistance from the city of Heber Springs, surrounding towns in Cleburne County. We work very hard keeping animals happy and healthy. We do this because we love animals and want to give them a safe haven and every chance possible to go to a loving home.
