Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hello, I'm Rufus, a delightful 7-year-old coonhound mix with a story that's bound to capture your heart. Fate led my brother Charlie and me to Big Dog Ranch when our previous owner died, and nobody could care for us. Prior to that, my mama and all my siblings had been found under a house when the people moved away and left us. So, you see, I have not really had a very easy life thus far. Nevertheless, we've remained optimistic, eagerly anticipating a forever home brimming with affection.
My signature trait is sweetness; not even life's hurdles have quenched my affectionate spirit. I express my love through cuddles, kisses, and joyful tail wags. My zest for life is palpable-I'm energetic and thoroughly enjoy playful frolics.
A couch potato, you ask? Occasionally, after a day filled with excitement, I cherish unwinding, savoring tranquil moments, and perhaps sharing a treat. However, I also treasure outdoor activities. True to my breed, I'm thrilled by the prospect of embarking on new escapades, discovering novel aromas and vistas.
In the realm of friendship, I'm as amiable as can be. I regard other dogs as companions and revel in forming new bonds.
Should you seek a furry friend who is versed in basic commands, adores the water, and cherishes the outdoors, with a heart overflowing with love and devotion, your search ends with me. I am Rufus, eager to infuse your life with boundless joy and enthusiastic tail wags. Let's forge new memories and set out on a path of mutual affection and mirth.
