Need a little Schnauzer love in your life? Meet MARTIN a 1 year old, 15lb Schnauzer who is sweet as pie!
Martin is a snuggle bug and loves to be cuddled and hugged. He does not have an aggressive bone in his body! He loves playing with toys and found the toy box almost immediately on arrival. Martin is low to medium energy. He likes to play on his own with toys but is also a great coworker and relaxes and naps while you work. He also hasn’t made a peep since he’s arrived, though this may change over time!
Martin came from a home with many dogs and is therefore very used to dogs. He is not bossy or possessive. In fact, he likes to follow his foster fur sibling around and takes cues from her. Another confident fur sibling might be good for him to gain some confidence, especially when going for walks. While Martin feels very safe and comfortable at home, he finds the outside world scary and is very timid on going on walks. He also doesn’t know yet how to walk on leash so he will need a family who will work with him on that. For this reason, we think a fenced in back yard is best for him.
Though he made a couple of potty mistakes on his first day, he hasn’t had any accidents since, so we consider Martin housetrained. He is such an easy dog to have around and with a little time and training to work on gaining his confidence outdoors, we are sure he will become the best dog he can be!
