BALACLAVA was an owner surrender due to his owners ill health. He’s neutered, vaccinated including rabies and microchipped. He’s had his wellness check with our vet and been deemed healthy and ready to find his forever home. He is easily 10lbs overweight as he had quite a sedentary lifestyle and wasn’t really exercised. For this reason an active family is who should adopt him to give him the walks and exercise he needs to shift some of his weight.
This loveable little guy is so affectionate and loves to give kisses in exchange for snuggles and belly rubs.
BALACLAVA is house trained and will let you know when he needs to go outside for a bathroom break. He’s also crate trained and he’ll sleep in it as long as he knows someone’s around. He doesn’t like to be left alone and his foster has noticed that when she leaves he gets upset and howls. For this reason he would best suit being adopted by a family where at least one person works from home or they are retired and able to spend the time with him. It’s definitely recommended that he shouldn’t be left alone for long periods of time.

BALACLAVA gets along well with the dogs in his foster home, children and also cats. He’s super friendly towards people and treats everyone as his friend. He loves his walks and does pretty well on his leash but additional training would be recommended to help him understand what’s expected of him on his leash. He knows the basic commands but again additional training will help him on his road to being the best boy he can be.
