My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Scooby and I am living at this lovely rescue at the moment where I’m patiently waiting for my own special human. I’m fond of walking on a leash and playing in the yard. I was living for a while with a couple who took me in from the streets, but they had to move and could not take me. I’m thankful I have a place to stay for now, but I’d really like to get into my own home with my own pack. Look deep into my soulful amber eyes and consider bringing me into the family. I will be your most loyal companion. I walk well on a leash, I can learn commands, I will follow you anywhere. I’m not a huge dog, a comfortable size, and I can adapt myself to your living situation. I get along well with my fellow canines and children. We can all play together every day! What could be better? I’m about 2 yrs old, HW negative, up to date on all my vaccinations, freshly neutered, so I will be ready to go when you arrive. Please hurry.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We have a simple contract ensuring that our rescue will be well taken care of, medically and physically, will never be tied or chained, and that a secure fenced area is provided for outdoor play. We want for each a loving home and to become part of a family. Every animal is up to date on shots and spay/neuter is required.

Go meet their pets

We are open 7 days a week by appointment. Weekends are preferred. Come see our waggin' tails and happy faces on 22 acres with large runs and a 5 acre play area. Email to ask for directions and to make an appt.

More about this shelter

We started rescuing dogs in 2001 and became a non profit animal rescue in 2006 out of the sheer need to save animals from the streets, and pick up the ones dropped at our doorstep. We promote spay/neuter, and last year found forever homes for 129 animals from our location, and adopted over 400 through off site adoption..
