My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ellie ♥️ Ellie is the sweetest girl! Ellie is approx 3 years young and was rescued as a critically ill pregnant momma dog. We were able to save Ellie but unfortunately none of her puppies survived. Ellie absolutely adores people, children and tortoises too! Ellie is house and crate trained and absolutely loves going for walks.

Ellie can be selective about which dogs she would like to have as friends. Therefore she would prefer to be the only dog in the home.

Ellie absolutely deserves to be someone’s princess and receive all of their love and attention.

Additional adoption info

We do accept FOSTER TO ADOPT and recommend this to families with pets already in the home ! Ask us about our amazing FOSTER TO ADOPT program (there is a non refundable deposit with this program). We consider applicants for adoption who agree to adhere to our adoption contract rules which require adopters to care for the pets as discussed in the contract. We do have an adoption fee that covers the medical, boarding and transport of the dog to the new owner. All requirements are outlined in the application and contract. For example: ENVIRONMENT
Adopter agrees to care for the dog in a humane and responsible manner and to provide it with clean and adequate shelter, food, water, and veterinary care. The dog shall reside indoors, in the adopter’s home, and live as a family member and companion. Furthermore, adopter agrees to have adequate fencing enclose the yard (if applicable). Adequate fencing is defined as a fence that encloses a yard or large area, preventing the dog from going outside such area and preventing other animals, intruders or children from easily gaining entry to such area. An adequate fence does not include a split rail, electric, or invisible fence. At no time is it acceptable for the dog to be chained.
HEALTH
Adult dogs will be placed on heartworm preventative prior to adoption. Any dog adopted as a puppy shall begin heartworm preventative at four (4) months of age when receiving the rabies shot. The dog shall remain on heartworm preventative without laps throughout the entire lifespan of the dog. The dog shall be current and up to date on all vaccinations. Unless directed by a licensed veterinarian for reasons related to the health and welfare of the dog, cosmetic surgery will not be performed under any circumstances, including, but not limited to, tail docking or ear cropping.
FEE
The donation is not a fee or sale price, but a request to defer or reimburse rescuer for any and all medical expenses, or any other expenses incurred by the dog or rescuer to consider dog for adoption. Our adoption includes age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, exam, health certificate, transportation from the mid south to adoption state and spay/neuter.

SPAY / NEUTER
ALL OUR DOGS WILL BE SPAY OR NEUTERED PRIOR TO ADOPTION.

COLLARS AND TAGS
The dog will wear a nylon or leather collar or harness with appropriate tags at all times. It is preferable that the collar have a quick snap type closure. At no time is it acceptable for the dog to be wearing a chain or “choke” collar.

More about this rescue

MISSION STATEMENT:
Stray Network Animal Rescue is a federally recognized 501c3 NON PROFIT. We are a foster based rescue, we are an ALL VOLUNTEER FOSTER BASED RESCUE comprised of a group of passionate dog lovers whose mission is to rescue, provide sanctuary, and ultimately to re-home abandoned, stray and neglected dogs specifically momma dogs and their pups in Mississippi and Tennessee and surrounding areas. We rescue from the Mid-South where almost all the shelters are EXTREMELY HIGH KILL and then we transport them up North WHERE OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED in our local Montgomery, Berks, Chester and Bucks County Pennsylvania foster homes to prepare them for adoption. We adopt out to any state of course but specialize in adoption to Pennsylvania/New Jersey/Maryland/Connecticut/New York, Rhode Island, Virginia, Ohio and Delaware.

Stray Network Animal Rescue's dogs are housed in foster homes where they are provided with an enormous amount of love and attention. All our animals are spayed or neutered and brought up-to-date on shots before being placed in their new homes. At times some of our dogs are also house trained and taught basic obedience.

Stray Animal Network Rescue dogs are evaluated for temperament and personality to the best of our volunteer's abilities. This helps us to place them in homes that are well suited to their needs and to the needs of their future owners.

Stray Network Animal Rescue is a 100% 501c3 federally recognized non-profit, no-kill organization dedicated to the rescue and rehoming of dogs. SNAR is run by professionals who volunteer their time and resources to help save the lives of these animals.
