Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Bode! As Forest Gump said... life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get!
Bode thought he had an amazing home when he was adopted as a sweet, snuggly puppy in 2016 to a family who loves him dearly, but as that family grew, it became less of an ideal home for Bode. We’re now looking for a new home that suits his needs and personality more. Bode is feeling less comfortable with the young kids who don’t have impulse control, and we all feel it would be better to find this 7-year-old sweet boy a child-free home.
We think Bode is a Basset or Corgi mix. At 35 pounds, he’s an easy guy for someone looking for a very nice, loving companion. His ideal would be someone who works from home. He can be a cuddler and lover who enjoys a fenced yard, but we'd be open to a quiet environment with trails nearby for walking. Bode needs a calm home with someone devoted to him.
Bode enjoys going for walks but also is happy to just lounge around inside or chase squirrels in the backyard! With his short legs and long body, he probably is not up for hiking any big mountains; so a stroll through the woods or park is enough for this beautiful guy. He enjoys all kinds of sniffing opportunities!
He is trustworthy with free roam in the house... and has no destructive habits. Hilariously, even with his short legs and long body, he will counter surf if you leave something yummy out on the table and leave the room; so we'd recommend some management around this unless you don't mind losing an sandwich now and again!
For more info and/or to apply to adopt Bode, send us an email at SummitDogRescue@gmail.com, telling us a bit about yourself, your home environment and your lifestyle. A volunteer will get back to you shortly. Thanks.
