Meet our Merle Mini Australian Shepherd -Rusty!

Handsome and friendly Rusty is 110 months old, neutered and ready to continue his adventure lifestyle in the PNW! Rusty is not only gorgeous - check out those eyes! But he also has good potty manners, knows basic commands and currently crates for sleep and when home alone. Rusty will go to a home with lots of activity and interaction; he could use a bit more socialization and training as he is still young, but Rusty is already a great family dog. He is untested with cats, but does play well with other dogs once introduced.

Rusty was released to our rescue thru no fault of his own, and deserving of a forever home and family. Rusty is about 37 pounds currently, current on all vaccinations and ready to go.

Rusty will be adopted to a home with a secure fence of at least 5' in height.

More about this rescue

We are a committed group of dog lovers who have decades of experience in dog rescue, volunteering at animal shelters and owning rescue dogs. Most recently, our two founders, have been working with rescuing dogs from Mexico and the Asian dog meat trade as well as California kill shelters, Midwest puppy mill breeder releases and rehoming owner surrendered dogs in Washington and Oregon.

Deciding that we are able to rescue more by combining forces, Pacific Rim Rescue was formed. Our mission is to rescue dogs from devastating conditions from countries of the Pacific Rim.

We are committed to providing foster homes, veterinary and behavioral training for these dogs, so that they may live happy and fulfilling lives in their forever homes.
