Besides being a stunner in the looks department, this pup is one smart cookie! He is a thinker, and an assessor with a sharp eye for his environment and a sharper eye for you! What would you like to do, my friend?

Jax is a young dog in age and spirit (and sometimes in his manners) so he has the potential to grow into the dog of your dreams! He is energetic, athletic, affectionate, engaged and interested in learning, training, doing, playing…you name it!

He has had quite the adventurous life so far, and could benefit from some settling down and settling in. He was first picked up as a stray in the Bay Area and when the shelter staff noticed his toy drive, they thought of us! He had all the things we look for in our search dogs, except the propensity to bark (which is a needed skill for a disaster search dog). So now he would like to find his way to you – someone to give him some outlets for his smarts and energy. Someone who can appreciate his Shepherdness and his youthful spirit. Someone who wants to learn and grow together with him.

This might sound like “poor Jax’ but he is anything but that—he is joyful, playful and lively with the young spirit of a puppy who enjoys learning about the delights of life! He is up for whatever you want to teach him and up for any fun you’re in the mood for. Even if he might still have some ‘homework’ to do, he gets an ‘A’ for effort, an ‘A+’ for attitude, and an ‘A++’ for Potential.
