Likes: Food, playing with you, his ribbon toys, and mouse toys, he LOVES chasing tennis balls. Napping, in random places and in the sun.
Dislikes: Loud noises (especially the vacuum), being told no
Ideal home: Groot’s ideal home is a lively one that is full of people with enough energy to play with him, whether it’s a home with several adults or with older children. Groot enjoys company and thrives as the center of attention.
Good with other cats: Unknown but not recommended due to having FIV
Good with dogs: No to big dogs, unknown to small/medium dogs
Good with children: Unknown, but likely good with older children
Personality: Very sweet and friendly!
How long will it take her to settle into a new environment? Between 2-3 days. Groot is quite adaptable and curious about new places. He would benefit from being given the space to roam and explore during the adjustment.
Any special needs or traits someone should know? Groot plays a bit rough and can be quite mischievous, but is very charming nonetheless. He also wheezes sometimes, but this doesn’t seem to impact his wellbeing.
Medical: FIV+ however FIV isn`t easily transmitted between cats (only through deep bites and not by sharing food or other normal interactions), he is expected to live a full and happy life with his forever family.
