Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: Groot
Age: 5 years old
Likes: · Food, both his own and any human food lying around. · Playing with you, his ribbon toys, and mouse toys. He LOVES chasing tennis balls. · Chatting. He will tell you all about his day and thoughts through his soft and sweet meows. · Napping, in random places and in the sun · Snoring · Being picked up (when he's in the mood!)
Dislikes: · When you are even 1 minute late to breakfast/dinner time · Loud noises, especially vacuums · Being told he can't scratch the furniture
Ideal home: Groot's ideal home is a lively one that is full of people with enough energy to play with him, whether it's a home with several adults or with older children. Groot enjoys company and thrives as the center of attention.
Good with other cats: Unknown
Good with dogs: No to big dogs, unknown to small/medium dogs
Good with children: Unknown, but likely good with older children
Personality: Groot is a sweetie and a scoundrel. He is muscular on the outside, but his heart is as fluffy as his tail and his meows are as soft as his fur.
How long will it take her to settle into a new environment? Between 2-3 days. Groot is quite adaptable and curious about new places. He would benefit from being given the space to roam and explore during the adjustment.
Any special needs or traits someone should know? Groot plays a bit rough and can be quite mischievous, but is very charming nonetheless. He also wheezes sometimes, but this doesn't seem to impact his wellbeing.
Medical: FIV+ however FIV isn't easily transmitted between cats (only through deep bites and not by sharing food or other normal interactions), he is expected to live a full and happy life with his forever family.
This is what his foster home has to say about him: "I am Groot. I'm muscular on the outside, but my heart is as fluffy as my tail and my meows are as soft as my fur. I'm a silly guy who likes to explore, although this often involves jumping on counters and licking dishes in the sink, I promise you can't stay mad at me for long because of how cute and innocent I look. I get zoomies and bursts of energy here and there, but I like to spend my afternoons cuddled up and snoring in the sun. I like being picked up and held, and will start purring right away. If you like to snuggle, but also have the energy to play with me, I think we'll get along VERY well."
