Leilah is a 7yr old golden. I adopted her about three years ago from a couple who said that because of health issues, they could not keep her. She is beautiful and sweet, but she is an alpha dog. She is strong willed and needs an alpha parent. I am 68 yrs young, and I live alone. She demands a lot of attention and if I don’t give it to her she jumps and barks at me. I am 5’2 and she overpowers me. I feel that either a couple, or a family with children would be better suited for her. She is great with my grandchildren. and has never snapped at or bitten anybody. She loves the attention. This is an awfully difficult decision to make, but I don’t think that I am the right one for her. I would need to meet and have her meet whoever is interested a couple of times in order to establish a comfort level for her before I would let her go.
