Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Aspiring to follow in the footsteps of Eleanor Roosevelt, I aim to be the First Lady of your Heart; empowering warmth, love, and positivity to your world one snuggle at a time! Much like the young Mrs. Roosevelt, I too am a bit of a shy wallflower. I just know that with the support from my future family, I could grow into a great spokes-dog and advocate for shelter dogs across the nation!
I may not be a fan of tricky tiles (I mean seriously, what happened to the ground being sturdy?), but riding shotgun in the car is my kind of adventure! Not to say I don't enjoy stopping for a good hike along the trails, I am a hound dog after all. It's common knowledge that a dog's sniffer has several hundred million more receptors, but did you know that all dogs have something called neophilia, which is the attraction to new smells? It's one of the reasons why we dogs love going for walks so much. Think of it like driving past all your favorite restaurants on your way to your favorite perfume or cologne shop. I guess when I put it like that it kindof makes sense when I try to take a pause or get a closer smell of something in particular and forget that there is someone attached to the other end of my leash....but I digress.
True to my mellow nature, I appreciate a calm atmosphere. I am happy to entertain children, but I am a unsure what to do with high octane energy. Cuddles and snacks are definitely more my kind of pace. I like to do my own thing a lot (sort of follow my nose, if you will) but I always seem to find my way back to my people for a good scratch on the behind and TLC. Having met some of the other dogs at MAS, I can say that I would be interested in having some canine company with the right companion. I am not very interested in any kind of rough play, being a wallflower and all. I cannot say the same about cats though, the hound prey drive is too much to resist those sneaky feline foes.
If you have a soft spot for a hound dog with a nose for adventure and heart of gold, cruise on over to the MAS website (link below) to submit your adoption application today!
