My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lyra! This mama came from the Indianapolis shelter after giving birth to ELEVEN puppies back in May. She did an AMAZING job raising the pups and they have since all found their forever homes. Now that she's had some rest and relaxation and put some weight on, she's ready to find the perfect home herself!

Lyra is approximately 1-2 years old, absolutely loves kids, and is best friends with her foster dog brother. She can be overly excited when first meeting new dogs, so a slow introduction with dog friends would be a must. She is house trained and crate trained and has been working on leash manners, etc with her foster family. When she is done for the night, she likes to put herself to bed - even if the rest of her family isn't ready. LOL

Lyra's adoption fee is $300 and she will come fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and current on heartworm/flea prevention. If you're interested in meeting her, please submit an adoption application today through our website - www.helpingpawsonline.com/adoption-application

Go meet their pets

Helping Paws is a foster based rescue that does not have a facility to house our adoptables. We believe they are better off in a loving foster home while they wait for their forever family. If interested, please fill out an application, and we will set up a time to schedule a meet and greet for you and the animal.

More about this rescue

Helping PAWS is dedicated to improving the lives of animals locally, and nationally; alleviating their suffering and elevating their status in society through the rescue and rehabilitation of animals in need and through the education of their community on responsible pet ownership and animal welfare, advocating the value of all animal life, in hopes to end the neglect and abuse of all animals and to end the devastating pet overpopulation through spay and neuter advocacy.
