My story

Introducing BB to freedom and Sunshine Big Dog Rescue! He is a 4 year old German Shepherd Dog who was pulled from a shelter after being found as a stray running with some small dogs. He is now neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and ready to interview adopters. BB is opening up more and more. He has a select few dogs in his foster home whom he likes to play with, otherwise, he patrols the perimeter and comes back to his foster people for loves and kisses. He's fairly mellow in the home, preferring the couch so he can keep an eye on things. He is very smart, and eager to learn. He is essentially a blank slate to be trained. We are working on basic commands daily and he is a natural! He's met a few families and their dogs and played well off the bat. He is housebroken, crate trained and good with all. Please keep in mind, he was a stray who survived and "provided" for his friend pack he traveled with. Small animals can become prey in his eyes. He is fostered with 3 cats and is cat curious, but gentle to them. He was not so gentle with the next one he met. We would advise no small pets in his forever home.
