Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sweet Bonnie was spotted in the woods by a city worker and was literally starving. After a diligent 6-day search, Bonnie was rescued! She only weighed 18.5lbs and her skin was irritated from fleas and her fur was sparse from malnutrition. Other than that, was in surprisingly healthy condition. She has been completely transformed in less than 3 weeks. Her fur is filling in and her skin is healing quickly.
Bonnie is a 14-month-old female, Boxer/Terrier mix. She is medium sized, short haired and has an adorable underbite. Bonnie warmed up quickly to her rescuers and is great with children, cats, dogs and people. Being on her own in the woods, she is naturally shy at first. Bonnie is just learning to play with a toy. She is crate trained, puppy pad trained and gives sweet kisses. Bonnie had to gain weight and get her strength back before her vetting could continued. She is now 26lbs and getting spayed, chipped and vaccinated on 11/21/23. She is just an amazing animal and CRAVES love. We are looking for someone that can treat her like the princess she deserves to be!!!!
She is negative for heartworms/parasites and is on prevention meds.
Bonnie would thrive in a home that is willing to let her get comfortable, give lots of love to and enjoy playing with and petting her. Bonnie is outstanding and deserves a loving forever home.
At wags to riches, we pride ourselves on having the lowest prices of any rescue while doing the most for our dogs. Being a very small organization, we are a 2-woman show, have no overhead, and work hard to give our dogs the most loving home possible. Because we are so small with limited volunteers, we have to use an external transport company (if you don't want to drive to Alabama to get your dog( to transport the dog to Maryland/PA/VA area. He charges $150 per dog. This cost would be in addition to the adoption fee.
