My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We found Mikko (Japanese for stowaway) living in our sailboat and took her in. Her beautiful soft fur and bright blue eyes make us think she’s part Siamese. Mikko is shy but once she warms up to you she is a sweet companion. She doesn’t like to be picked up, but is a great lap warmer and loves getting her head scratched. She’ll give your hand a buck when she’s about to be fed and loves a good sunshine nap. She prefers the indoors but enjoys an occasional supervised romp outside. She has some quirks, like pooping next to the litterbox (pees in the litterbox just fine) and fur mowing on her belly (vet thinks it’s anxiety/boredom). She deserves more attention than I can give her right now. We have another cat, a dog, and a toddler and while everyone gets along alright, I think she would be happier in a home with fewer stressors. I'd love to find her a home with a family who can work with her quirks, give her stimulation but not stress, and enjoy her snuggles.
