My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maddie – is a Sweet Black Lab Mix, she is 1 year and 9 months and is Spayed, Microchipped, Current on Vaccinations. Pretty Maddie, is a playful and affectionate black lab mix with stunning golden brown eyes that light up when she meets new friends. At just under two years old, Maddie embodies the energy and exuberance of youth while also possessing a friendly and gentle nature. Maddie thrives on human interaction and forms quick and lasting bonds with those who show her love and attention. Her friendly demeanor makes her a great companion, whether you're playing with other dogs or simply enjoying a quiet moment together. She is particularly fond of chewing on bone-type toys and cuddling with stuffed toys, showcasing her playful spirit. Maddie is leash trained and demonstrates good listening skills, especially when a firm tone is used. She can be prompted to sit and wait for her turn for attention, displaying her eagerness to please. Maddie is both house trained and doggie door trained, ensuring she is a well-mannered addition to any home. Maddie and her brother, Mason, were unfortunately abandoned but were lucky to find refuge with a caring friend of our rescue organization. Her past has not dampened her spirit; she is ready to find her forever home filled with love and companionship. Maddie would do well in a loving household that can provide her with attention, playtime, and affection. She would thrive with owners who can engage with her both mentally and physically, ensuring she remains a happy and healthy pup. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion, Maddie is ready to meet you! She will make a wonderful addition to your family. Don’t miss the chance to welcome this beautiful girl into your home! Come meet Maddie today and see if she’s the perfect fit for your family! We appreciate that you are interested in one or more of our dogs or cats for adoption. Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner.

1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it.

2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why)

a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response.

b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get.

c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to.

3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org

4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/

5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link.
