My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Finnegan! He made his way back to Nashville Humane through no fault of his own but is not doing well in our care. He is used to a home and having human companionship, so the shelter environment is stressful for him. Could you be his match? Finnegan is a loyal, playful, and intelligent pup! He loves going on walks, playing fetch and tug, and rubbing against you for the best scratches. He will also show off his smarts with a "sit", "down", and "shake" for a tasty treat. Finnegan would do best in a home with no other dogs, so he can be the spoiled only dog he deserves to be! He is ready to be your loyal best friend for years to come! Are you ready to open your heart and home to Finnegan? Come visit him today!

Go meet their pets

We’re so excited that you’re considering adopting from Nashville Humane Association. We’re located at 213 Oceola Ave in West Nashville, near the intersection of White Bridge Road and Charlotte Pike, and are open from 10AM until 5PM TUE through SUN (closed Mondays). We’re also closed every TUE-THUR from 12-1PM for “Quiet Hour.” As a quick heads up, our adoption process takes about an hour, and all adoptions must be finalized on-site at the shelter, so if you’re planning to visit and adopt, be sure to make accommodations for time.
