Pepper is an approx. 2-year-old, 64-lb. Rottweiler mix. He enjoys playing with a frisbee, tennis balls, and stuffed animals. He has not shown destructive behavior. He only carries the stuffed animals around. He takes treats gently from your hand. He loves playing with his foster sibling and would love a fur brother or sister that can match his size and strength. He probably would sleep on the bed with you if you invited him, but he sleeps next to the bed near his foster mom and dad. He wants to stay near his fur sibling and person. He walks well on a leash and is housebroken.
His previous owner took the time to train this stunning boy. He knows the basic commands: heel, sit, stay, leave it and most importantly NO. He is motivated by hugs, affection and positive reinforcement. Pepper, like most Rottweilers, grumbles/rumbles. Known as the "Rottie rumbles," a Rottweiler makes sounds like purring, grumbling, or even a sort of low growl that lets you know that he is happy and feeling good. Pepper makes this sound when his foster mom is loving on him.
If you are looking for a young, fun loving, active and handsome man, then Pepper is your guy. We are requiring a home with a secure fenced-in yard for him. Due to his size and activity level, no little kiddos. We are requiring an adopter with breed experience. If you live in the central Florida (Orlando) area and think you have the perfect forever home for Pepper, we’d love to find out more about you. Please complete his adoption application and let us know more about your family.
