Gigi, a standard poodle, recently rescued from a local shelter on 11/6/23, is guesstimated to be about a year old. She weighed 41.4 pounds and is a little thin. She really needs to gain another 5-10 pounds. While her coat wasn’t terrible, hair completely covered her eyes so that you couldn’t see them. Now that she has been groomed it’s easy to see what a gorgeous girl she is and her sweetness is every bit as spectacular as her looks. She will be brought up to date with vaccinations, heartworm tested and spayed on 11/16/23. The groomer said that as she gets older her color will lighten to the color of her face. I was told she is a silver. At the shelter they said she was good with everybody, dogs, cats, and people, and that definitely seems to be the case. She rides well in the car and in fact, she seems to love to ride in the car. She walks well on a leash and has not had any accidents in her foster mom’s house. She is an all round super sweet girl. Gigi is located in Arkansas and her foster mom thinks she is the best. The adoption donation for Gigi is $1200 with an additional $165 for the transport fee. If you would like to adopt Gigi, please complete the first step in the adoption process by filling out an online adoption application.
You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers.
After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home.
Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
