Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Jerry! Jerry is approximately 2 years old and 60 pounds of all muscle! He appears to be an American Bulldog mix. Jerry was found roaming the streets in a rural area in the extreme heat of the summer. When his foster saw him standing in a neighbor’s sprinkler, she just had to help this boy. Jerry was leery at first but quickly warmed up when his first meal was offered. After that, he would not eat until he got a few pats on the head. He continued to stay close by and always showed up for breakfast and dinner. Jerry spent most of his “street” time with another neighbor and sitting outside the foster’s fence wanting to play with her dogs. Eventually, he came in and played beautifully with the resident dogs. Since no owner was found, it was time to get him vaccinated and neutered at which time Jerry was allowed into the home. He is now so darn happy being part of a family! He likes to play, bounces a lot, and loves stuffies! Jerry has proven to be the most loveable and loyal boy! Bedtime is his favorite time sleeping cuddled with his foster and snoring! He loves to go places and thinks he needs to ride shotgun! He has been in numerous social situations with people, kids, and dogs and doesn’t even bark! He eats up the attention! Jerry’s best home will be an active couple or single person that will be with him and take him everywhere! He could be an only dog if his owner is his best friend. He would also like another pup to play with, but Jerry plays hard so a pup that matches his exuberance is a must. If interested, an application through www.HoustonCollieRescue is required.
