My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We have MANY more bunnies that have not yet been listed. Please fill out an application on our website www.morabbit.org OR call us at 314-995-1457 and leave a message.  We will call you back to schedule a visit to our adoption center, The Bunny House, in Fenton, Missouri.

Mary Kay is a unique and outgoing Lionhead rabbit, quite larger than most of her breed. She was discovered as a stray and brought to our rescue, where she's been winning hearts with her vibrant personality. She may work well as a bondmate if your bunny is looking for a friend. Mary Kay is a big girl, and she needs space to stretch her legs and explore. She's an active rabbit who would thrive in an environment that allows her to move freely and express her natural curiosity. She is easy to handle and does well with being held. She would do great in a home with kids and adults. She is litterbox trained and spayed. If you're ready to welcome a big-hearted Lionhead rabbit with an outgoing personality into your life, Mary Kay is waiting for you. She's a bundle of joy and energy, and her presence will light up your days. With your love and care, Mary Kay will become an unforgettable member of your family.

Our bunnies are available for adoption in person by appointment at our adoption center in Fenton, MO, or you can meet a few bunnies and get some great information at the following Petsmart store locations and times:

Due to COVID-19 we are not in Petsmart stores at this time.  Please visit us at www.morabbit.org to complete an application or call 314-995-1457.

Additional adoption info

When considering adopting from Missouri House Rabbit Rescue, we require you to complete a questionnaire. YOU MUST BE 21 or over to complete it. If you are under 21 and living at home, a parent or guardian must fill out and send it in. Please fill it out at https://www.morabbit.org/adoption-process.
Detailed information about the adoption process is included with the adoption questionnaire.

PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE ANY HOUSING OR SUPPLIES PRIOR TO ATTENDING OUR ADOPTION CLASS.

Our list of bunnies available for adoption is constantly changing due to adoptions and rescues. Check out our adoptable rabbits here. When interested in a particular bunny, please call or email us and have the bunny's name, description, etc. handy when you call or include it in your email. Please note that some rabbits have special needs mentioned in their listings and cannot go out to households with small children or inexperienced bunny owners. We have these policies in place to protect the owners and the rabbits.

Our Adoption Fee is $75.00 for a single and $125.00 for a bonded pair.

All bunnies coming to the Bunny House to find a friend must be fully vaccinated for RHDV2.

More about this rescue

Missouri House Rabbit Rescue is a 501 (c3) all-volunteer, non-profit organization with a dual purpose of rescue and education. Donations are tax deductible.

Utilizing foster homes as well as The Bunny House shelter, volunteers provide appropriate care and socialization opportunities to rabbits so that they may be adopted into loving, permanent, indoor homes. Our educators assist the public, humane societies, and local shelters through publications on rabbit care, phone and e-mail consultations, and classes upon request.
