Seeking a Forever Home for Afu
Afu is a resilient and gentle soul, her story symbolizes perseverance and rebirth.
It was on October 17, 2020, that I first laid eyes on Afu. She was sprinting down the streets outside the Chengdu University of Technology campus, seemingly on a desperate journey to care for her recently born litter of puppies. Her engorged mammary glands hung low, and her body bore the scars of a challenging life. Deep lacerations circled her neck, burn marks adorned her chin, and her legs carried the remnants of old injuries, causing her to limp with every step. For three whole days, I followed her tirelessly, but there was no sign of her puppies. Subsequently, I took her to the vet, where it was confirmed that she had lost all traces of nursing. In the end, I brought her home, providing her with a safe haven.
Now, after three full years have passed, Afu has made a complete recovery, free from any psychological trauma. She frolics joyfully on the grass, playing with people, particularly fond of women. She has a tender heart for children, gets along harmoniously with other dogs and cats, and possesses a gentle and intelligent temperament, making her an incredibly charming companion.
