Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Waffles: Your Future Best Friend
Hello there, future pet parent! My name is Waffles, and I'm an adorable 5-month-old bundle of joy. My foster mom tells me I'm one of the happiest, friendliest puppies she's ever met, and I can't wait to bring that happiness and love to your life.
Let me tell you a bit about myself: I recently had a checkup at the vet, and they said I'm a picture of health. At my age, I already have some of my adult teeth, which suggests that I'm almost 5 months old. The vet also mentioned that I'm not going to be a big pup when I grow up - I'll likely weigh around 20lbs, and currently, I'm just 12lbs of pure cuteness.
As for my breed, well, there's a bit of a mystery there. The consensus is that I'm part dachshund and chihuahua, with a dash of something else mixed in. But you know what? Everyone just calls me cute, and I can't argue with that!
Here are a few more things about me that you might find interesting:
I'm a well-behaved pup. I sleep through the night in my bed next to my foster mom's without making a fuss, and I only get up when she greets me in the morning.
I get along famously with both people and other dogs. My foster mom's cat is pretty cool, too, and I enjoy playing with him when we're not napping.
Potty training is a work in progress, but I'm getting there with a little help. I've also figured out that walks are a blast, and I do great on a leash. Car rides? No problem!
Basic commands are starting to make sense to me, but I'll need someone patient to help me master them. Thunder may give me a little jolt, but I'll just look for a safe spot to hide, no destructive behavior here. I'm not much of a barker, either.
I'm not picky about food, and I'm not food aggressive. I watch and learn from my foster mom's dog, so I've even figured out how to use the doggie door.
I'm an active puppy, but I also love a good snuggle. Playtime is my favorite, and I enjoy a game of fetch and belly rubs. I'm incredibly social, so I'd love a home with a dog or cat companion to keep me company, or a family that's up for frequent trips to the dog park and playdates with other pups.
If you think I'd be a great fit for your family, please fill out an application on my profile. I can't wait to share my love, laughter, and wagging tail with you!
