My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This poor girl is Molly. She was removed from an abandoned house. The previous 'owners' moved away and left her and 7 other dogs alone in the house to fend for themselves. Obviously, going on her current condition, that did not go very well.

Molly currently weighs in at 37 pounds, and should easily be 60 - 65. She has a severe case of sarcoptic mange, along with secondary skin infection. She is also high antigen heartworm positive.

Molly is under the care of our wonderful vet, and will be on the road to recovery in no time! She will begin HW treatment as soon as she has gained a sufficient amount of weight for it to be safe. Despite all her physical problems, she has the absolute sweetest personality. She is very camera shy though, so it's hard to get good pics of her. We will be working with her and helping heal mentally as well as physically.

Molly's vet expenses are adding up quickly. If you would like to sponsor her, or make a one-time tax deductible donation to offset some of the costs incurred for her care, please click the button below.

Please Click Here to fill out an application. This is the first step in our adoption process. No adoption will be considered or discussed until this has been completed and received.

Molly must go to an indoor home where he will be an important part of the family. We do not adopt to anyone under the age of 21. Our adoption fee is $250.

Note: Mid-South Shepherd Rescue is a no-kill, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We do not have a shelter location. Our dogs are kept in foster homes as part of a family, to help prepare them for transition into their forever homes. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please contact us by clicking on the email address to your right. We will be glad to make arrangements for a meeting.
