Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Lucky! This 1-2 year old boy was found by a good samaritan in a crate in an alley with some belongings. Sadly, it seems like he was purposely abandoned. The vet's best guess is he’s a Maltese Poodle Mix.
He’s a 13 lb guy with lots of cuddles to give! Lucky is fostered with a senior dog who doesn’t love his playful energy so they've kept their distance. With newer dogs, he will need time to warm up with slow intros and hasn't been reactive to cats he's met.
Lucky is scared of new people going up to him to quickly. He prefers if you ignore him and he'll happily walk up to you. It may take him a good while before he allows pets and snuggles, but after that while he’s ALL cuddles and licks. He’s gotten better at opening up with strangers, but it’s still something his new forever home should have patience for.
He should be in a home that loves to take time to train and are dedicated to continue working on his confidence levels and leash training (needs work on his pulling).
The ideal family for Lucky enjoys keeping active daily and providing the patience to work through any fearful behaviors.
